ARRRRRG!

The doctors said I would have to work twice as hard, and do twice as much work to lose the weight then lets say a normal joe off the street. ITS SO UPSETIIING! I am trying so friggin hard.

I am starting to get discouraged.. I lost 50lbs in 1 year 3 months.. I have been working at this for so long and changed my entire life. I have been at the same weight since OCT. I have completely plateaued.

I am NEEDING help!

Maybe I will ask for my options at my doctors.

The Seven Guidelines of the Low GI Diet!

The Seven Guidelines of the Low GI Diet!

1. Eat seven or more servings of fruit and vegetables every day (apples & citrus fruits have the lowest GI, citrus such as oranges and grapefruit also stone fruit , such as peaches and nectarines).

2.  Eat low GI breads and cereals. Examples of low GI breads and cereals are : mixed grain bread, sourdough, traditional rolled oats, bulgur wheat, pearl barley, whole wheat pasta and brown rice.

3. Eat more legumes including beans, chickpeas and lentils. These are “power packs”  that are high in fiber, low in calories, and provide many nutritional benefits. Enjoy them 2x a week for meals or snacks.

4. Eat nuts more regularly. Cashew and peanuts are low GI.

5. Eat more fish and seafood. You can eat up to 12 oz of cooked fish per week!

6. Eat lean red meats, poultry and eggs. Lean red meat two or three times a week (about 3 1/2 oz is okay)

7. Eat low-fat dairy products.
